The term "Lucid" means expressed clearly; easy to understand. and literary-wise bright or luminous.
Team Aquin has worked on an all-in-one tools application, an AI all-in-one tools application, and a customizable all-in-one tools application. The one thing common in all previous ideas was the concept of "all in one," which has the basic psychology—"if crafted well, it becomes a marvel; if not, it risks being a failure" something we've witnessed.
Team Aquin's passion has always resided within creating products for "everyone," something used by a 7-year-old who just started to go to school, or a professional working at a 9 to 5, or an artist, or an 80-year-old who doesn't have the best time learning about new technology, or if it's a programmer, literally "everyone."
Targeting one such crowd leaves us with two important missions:
- A product that is easy to use and understand
- A product that increases the user's productivity
Hence, we decided to build a browser that isn't exactly your average browser.
Lucid: expressed clearly
Creating a browser that expresses itself to its users Clearly, it is one of the most significant accomplishments we are trying to achieve. That means:
Imagine, with one click, you open Lucid.
and everything you need to complete any task of yours is right in front of you, no gibberish, no one of those features that you'll never use, no complications, and no feeling of being overwhelmed; it's straightforward; what you need is right there.
Now obviously the first thought you get by reading the above paragraph is, "Hold up, are we community-driven? Open source?". Well, Lucid isn't open-source, but we are building a growing and nurturing community of testers and tech enthusiasts and pretty much anybody who wants to be a part of this journey.
Before working on any feature, we build an "AB" test, which means 2 different variants with openness to thousands of suggestions.
That's how we try our best to build things that are loved by "everyone."
Lucid: easy to understand
Building something that is easy to understand for our dear grandparents or children or tech haters or judgmental programmers is a little difficult.
We follow a straightforward layout with a sidebar for tabs and other quick features, a simple top navigation bar, and a main view with two instances:
- AI search engine
- Browser
might sound a little confusing, but after just swiping your hands with the app, you'll have the feeling of "Damn, I've been using this my whole life." Our main motive resides in making you feel that way.
When we live in a world influenced by the conventional layout, which our fellow users have developed a "so-called" comfort in, building something that breaks that conventional layout is difficult to adjust to.
That's why we don't aim to replace your default browser or any such.
We aim to create a new genre of apps.
Lucid: a new genre, a luminous and bright one.
Lucid isn't just a new variation that breaks the conventional idea of your average browser; here is where it changes everything:
- a notepad within your browser with sheets, PDF, and a text editor with AI...
- a sketch board within your browser with AI...
- a browser where you can browse with other people...
- a browser that you can control with your fingertips, literal fingertips...
- a browser that you can control with your voice...
- an AI search engine within your browser...
- a search engine that is not influenced by any sponsor...
- a browser that is totally locally based, i.e., no information gets out of your computer...
- a browser that reimagines all ignored features...
- a code editor within your browser...
- an image, video, and 3D editor within your browser...
- an AI that generates images, videos, music, and 3D within your search engine...
- a browser that cares about blocking NSFW and profanity with parental controls...
